Ricordi quando Topin Meschino era nelle segrete, sul palmo della mano di Gregory il carceriere, e gli sussurrava una storia all’orecchio?Mi piacerebbe che tu pensassi a me come un topo… immagina un re in adorazione e una principessa radiosa, una sguattera con una corona sulla testa e un ratto con un cucchiaio sul capo, tutti riuniti attorno a un tavolo nella sala dei banchetti. Al centro del tavolo c’è una grande zuppiera fumante. Seduto al posto d’onore, proprio accanto alla principessa, c’è un topo piccolissimo con orecchie fuorimisura. E nascosti dietro una polverosa cortina di velluto, altri quattro topi assistono sbalorditi alla scena…«Le storie sono luce»aveva detto Gregory a Topin Meschino. E io spero, lettore, che anche tu, immaginando, possa trovare un pò di luce.
